Bouldering World Cup Vail – USA

Unfortunately I got sick again after the World Cup in Innsbruck, and so had to rest two more weeks. So I had to cancel the German Nationals in Zweibrücken, and was not able to train before our flight to Denver took off. After 4 weeks of not training everything seemed so hard, especially with the altitude there. But I could get some good training sessions in Boulder so I didn't feel too unprepared for the World Cup in Vail. Also we did some great hikes up the Mountains to get used to the alti...

Bouldering World Cup Innsbruck – Austria

After my absence in India due to some illness, the World Cup in Innsbruck was the next comp for me. As I was still a little sickly, the qualification went better than I expected. I could easily flash the the first boulder, which was a slab ad didn't need much power. Although I could get my lack of power during the next three boulder problems. My attempts were still pretty close in the second boulder, which only Yongwon did, but I got lost in the third one: A boulder that just consusted of...

No India for me…

Unfortunately I got really sick in Portugal and am now laying in the bed to recover. That’s why I had to skip the World Cup in India which I was really looking forward to. I haven’t been too India but It seems like a very interesting country, which made the decision to stay home even harder. But in the end it was more important to me to recover quickly so I can compete in Innsbruck, which is definitely one of the best comps every year, and all the other cups soon. Wishing best luck to teammates...

Boulder World Cup Chongquing – China

Well luck was not on my side on the World Cup in China. Even though I feeled really strong during the warm-up and the qualification round, I just couldn't finish most of the Boulders. I was able to send the slab prety fast as usual and do teh jump on small crimps in some more tries. On the other side I fell with already one hand on the top hold on every other boulder. Even though this left me on the 46. Place, I was not disappointed because I know that it could have been so different with just...

Bolder World Cup Kazo – Japan

Just a day after the World Cup in Meiringen I had to pack my bag again for the next adventure. After almost 24 hours of travelling and catching flights we finally arrived in Tokyo with a hell of a jetlag. Just the next day we went for a climbing session in “BPUMP climbing gym“ with the incredible strong Japanese climber Kokoro Fuji, who showed us around a little bit afterwards. Big Thanks for that ! The next days were filled with another training at „Base Camp“ and a lot of sightseeing. Toky...

Bolder World Cup Meiringen – Switzerland

Last Weekend the first Bouldering World Cup of the 2016 season took place in Meiringen. After a monthlong training trip to California, I felt really strong and well prepared for the upcoming Worldcups. Especially my send of Meadowlark Lemon 8b gave me some confidence going to the first world cup with all these really strong climbers. I did not know what to expect from the qualification boulders and felt pretty good with topping two boulders. Unfortunately I needed way too many attempts beca...
